14 Day Gourmet Cleanse & Rejuvenation Program

The body is made up of approximately 150 trillion cells.  Individual cells operate as miniature factories producing energy and raw materials to drive and build your body.  Your body is under constant reconstruction.  Every seven years you have a brand new body.  The burning of food to generate energy and raw materials for running and building the body generates metabolic waste that the body must dispose of through the elimination system.

Our bodies are designed to metabolize, cleanse, heal and repair on a daily basis.  This will occur as long as we eat a diet high in fresh organic fruits, vegetables and seeds, as they are the natural detoxifiers for our body (it is equally as important to avoid unhealthy foods).  Fresh fruits, vegetables and seeds provide us with high levels of vitamins, minerals, trace elements, enzymes, essential fatty acids and antioxidants required to bolster our cleansing and digestive systems. 
Most people do not eat enough of the right kinds of foods to facilitate a clean, well functioning body.  Often times foods are consumed that create more toxic waste than the body can handle, resulting in toxic buildup.  Symptoms which may indicate a long overdue and much needed cleanse include:  a build up of fat located anywhere in the body (such as a liver roll around the upper abdomen or pot belly), cellulite, indigestion, reflux, gallstones (of which most people have hundreds or thousands that can easily be flushed out), unstable blood sugar; cravings for sugar, alcohol, fatty fried or heavily salted food; depression, loss of energy and use of stimulants, parasites, headaches, reduced immune function, allergies, hormonal imbalances, constipation, diarrhea, hemorrhoids, cysts and other abnormal metabolism of fats including cholesterol and triglyceride issues.

The liver is the main fat burning organ in the body.  It is like a built in dishwasher for detoxification purposes.  The liver is also responsible for the regulation of fat metabolism as it can flush fat via the gallbladder into the small intestine.  If the gallbladder is clear and there is adequate fiber available from the diet, excess fat is eliminated through the bowels.  Very often the liver is congested and the gallbladder is blocked.  Sugar and processed foods are the main culprits for degenerating organs and jamming functioning systems.  Gallstones are formed from mucus (sugar), surrounded by hardened layers of cholesterol, unabsorbed and misplaced minerals and salts.  Gallstones are geometric in shape, which easily fit together and pack tightly into the gallbladder.  Stones or gravel develop and accumulate over time, blocking the essential flow of bile, resulting in toxic build up and a reduction in quality of health.
Most people want to detoxify and cleanse their body, however many methods require fasting which often depletes energy levels and may cause undesirable side effects.  Using gourmet organic fresh foods for a two-week period will support and improve liver health and function.  The liver is responsible for over 150 physiological processes that are directly connected to our overall health.   Most of the recipes are quick, easy to prepare and can be used as grab and go food, to accommodate a busy lifestyle.

This dietary cleansing program is designed for a two-week period.  Unlike most cleansing programs which promote fasting on water, juices or other drinks, this cleanse utilizes whole organic fresh foods prepared in gourmet style to provide the body with high quality, live nutrients that simultaneously detoxify, balance and heal.  It is very beneficial for people who want to maintain their energy level and their busy lifestyle while cleansing their body.  Most of the recipes are easy and fun to prepare, however I have included some more time consuming recipes for those who prefer to prepare something more elaborate.  Every recipe will help strengthen your digestive system.  Many people show a reduction in weight because nutrient levels are high enough to shut of the hunger mechanism.  When addictive foods are avoided and nutrient requirements are met, the normal response is to stop eating.

During the 14 day cleanse program you will avoid eating the following:  cooked foods, meat, fish, fowl, grains and all grain products, soy and all soy products (except miso and nama shoyu soy sauce), legumes, all processed and packaged foods, pasteurized dairy products (including cheese, milk, eggs, yogurt) and conventional produce.  Many foods listed above are healthy options (everything that is not processed or pasteurized), however for our cleansing purposes they are inappropriate.  The goal is to get more alkaline foods and minerals into your body to neutralize metabolic acidic waste.
